APPLICATION SECURITY

Provides security to executables in Win PE format. Trinfin Custom application security divides the application binary into parts and stores in encrypted format. Trinfin application assembler patches the application parts into memory and launches the application. Due to on fly workflow the application is safe from reverse engineering. This technology is utilised by various models to make application machine specific. Application while installation become machine dependent and the assembler take care of authorizing and executing the application.

PRODUCTS FOR APPLICATION SECURITY

1. Es-Vault

Es-Vault deals with application distribution security. Application (Main Executable) is secured by trinfin application security suite which encrypts and holds the main application along with dependent files in a secured way to protect the distribution against counterfeiting. Es-Vault comes with 3 variants

1.Pre-Installer

Pre-Installer addresses installer protection. The installer exe + dependent files are kept in a secure manner inside Trinfin USB. This is copy protected and data is stored safely and invisible to the user. Application installer needs to be distributed in USB which will provide interface to launch the installation from inside the USB. Pre-Requisites can be set with this product for checking the requirements of dependent applications prior to installing the main application i.e Framework / 3rd party utilities / Database etc.

2. Post Installer

Post Installer model takes care of application security after installation of the application onto the client machine. This can be integrated with the Pre-Installer variant. After installing the application in machine, this model secures the main executable and makes it machine dependent. If the software is running on the machine where this is installed, it will work. If the application folder is copied to another machine, it will not work.

3. Direct Launch

Direct launch variant loads any application inside the Trinfin USB and runs directly from the USB. There would be no installations in the machine. Before launching, the reader module implements the check for all the pre requisites. In case the application requires to maintain users data the application can be configured to work in mixed mode

2. Trinfin Vault

Trinfin vault is a combination of the USB Dongle and the eS-Vault. Software/Applications can be distributed with Trinfin Vault – a secure USB distribution media. The Trinfin Vault secures the installer inside the USB. Post installation, the application will check the presence of the USB dongle before execution. The application will not run if device is not plugged in, and the authentication fails. A customizable SDK is also also provided with this tool. This SDK would give the software developer/ Manufacturer complete control over the security level of the application. The developer can customize the security as per their requirement.
