It's a composite device with dual interface i.e Mass Storage and HID. Device essentially consists of secured file system, drm database which can be accessed via Secured SDK. Variants are available with advanced components like Real Time Internal clock which gives extra power for managing offline DRM which traditionally depends on internet date or system date which has lot of limitations especially for disconnected and offline scenario.
