Trinfin USB-VAULT
 
Trinfin USB Vault is an enterprise endpoint security software solution providing network administrators with the ability to secure, monitor and control computer ports and external devices as part of an information security program.
The solution protects against internal data leakages occurring when confidential corporate data is printed or copied from internal workstations and laptops to unauthorized portable storage devices through unmanaged USB, LTP, COM, Firewire and IEEE 1394 ports.
 
 

Trinfin USB-VAULT FEATURES

1. Registering of Authorized devices
When USB devices are purchased, they are first registered at the Trinfin Server.
In the Basic version, only Trinity USB devices are supported. In the Advanced version, all USB devices with USB general standards are Supported.

2. User Creation
Users can be created using ACTIVE DIRECTORY or DATABASE.

3. User Tagged to Device
Users can be tagged to a device. A USB device registered for one person, cannot be used by another person

4. Remote Installation and Un-installation of Agent
The agent software can be remotely installed or uninstalled onto a single or multiple machines

5. Architecture
Agent application can be deployed on Workgroup Architecture or on a domain architecture

6. Unauthorized devices are blocked
In basic version all unauthorized USB removable devices are blocked. In the Advanced version, CD drives, Bluetooth, USB HDD and other external devices are blocked

7. Device Configuration
Device can be configured for Internal or External Use. If a device is configured to use for Internal- then the device will look blank, if taken outside the network. If device is configured for external use- then the content in the device can only be viewed with proper authentication

8. User permissions
Based on the privilege of a user, the following permissions can be given
Read: - Allows user to open the files loaded in secured USB
Copy: - User can copy the file
Write: - User can copy the files from the machine onto the USB
Write External: - This option Write protects the data once written into the USB. If this permission is enabled, a user can write data into the USB devices, when configured as external.
If this permission is disabled, User cannot write any further data onto the USB device.

9. File permissions
Users of registered USB device can be allocated rights to access particular files. Certain file types can be allowed or disallowed based on the privilege of the user

10. Reports
The following reports are generated on runtime at the USB Vault server. The reports can also be exported to HTML
File report: This will display all the file operations carried out by various users
USB report: This will display registration status of the USB devices
Unauthorized device report: This will display if any unauthorized USB activities are carried out by users
Login Reports: This will display the access details and time of various users
Current Usage Report: This is an instant report giving the current Usage details

11. Roll back options
Format: Data cannot be removed by using normal Windows format. The device can only be formatted by Trinfin Server application

Un-installation of agent: Even if agent is uninstalled, the policies are not completely removed. Emergency Rollback tool is required to bring the machine back to its original state.
External Rollback: During external transfer, if data is lost or deleted from the public drive. The data can be recovered by using the Trinfin Server application
